![]() Tower Ghost gets most of the use for me because I can run it on my tablet right now. Same basic functionality, but each one has a few unique and very useful features. I've been using both Destiny Item Manager and Tower Ghost on my PC for a while now. I hope this will not be a regular occurrence. I think the remedy is probably "reinstall the app", but what a pain!Įdit: Yep, came back to life after deleting and reinstalling the app. I've been using Tower Ghost for a few weeks with no problems.and all of a sudden it can't seem to load my items at all. We all know what it feels like to leave something on another character when your team is waiting for you and Destiny Item Manager makes all that pain go away. You'll be able to spend more time playing and less time in the Destiny Companion or staring at a vault in the Tower. Trust me, using it will change your game. Just make sure you open before you open the app as we use your established login to communicate with Bungie's servers and we can avoid asking for your login and password. It is a chrome extension so it will ONLY work on Chrome. You can keep up with the feature updates on our sub,, and better yet, go download it. You can watch these features in action in this review, I use it all the time when switching between raids, patrols, or PVP. It even has a Loadouts feature that lets you define sets of gear that you can apply to a guardian. It's a tool that lets you easily move gear between characters in Destiny. I also wrote The Earthborn Trilogy.Bumped into DSmooth last week which got me interested in stopping by to plug an app I've been working on that you've might of heard of, Destiny Item Manager. Light Light for inventor management/exotic collections/etc.įollow me on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Read my new sci-fi novel HEROKILLER, which combines my love of fighting games and action movies. Not all are actual apps.ĭestiny by lowlidev for maps and a bunch of other stuff. Update: Alright I should probably shout out some others. But these two have been absolutely essential for me, and I really recommend anyone not using them currently to pick them up as we head into Forsaken. I know there are way more than two Destiny apps out there, and feel free to suggest your own. But until that happens, I absolutely recommend you give the feature on the Bungie app a try, as it will open up a variety of activities in the game you may never have done otherwise.ĭownload the Destiny 2 Companion here on iOS and Android here. I do still think more activities need matchmaking, and that there should be in-game group-finding tools that don’t require an app. Sure, you’ll get some duds, but I’d say my groups have been perfectly great 90% of the time, which is probably better odds than I could hope for with random matchmaking. It would have been a shame to miss that just because I was sticking to my solo ways, and the Bungie app made it super easy to find a team. I haaaate the process of putting together groups for stuff, but with this app I was automatically doing things like the Nightfall each week (you don’t even need a mic for that), and more recently it’s how I was able to get my Whisper and unlock its catalyst, which ended up being one of the best Destiny 2 experiences I’ve had. Once I figured out how simple this was, my ability to do non-solo activities escalated dramatically. You can kick people who don’t meet those criteria when they join, and keep looking if you want. You can write specifically what you’re doing (DFA Nightfall farm, solar burn, heavyweight, momentum) or you can put in stipulations (must be 380+ and have mic). The same goes for how you’re invited by others when you join their fireteams. When people join your fireteam, you invite them with the press of a button which will automatically send them an invite through your platform. Using the Fireteams section, you can either post a call for a specific activity or search through specific activities for groups that are already made. I still think the series needs more of both, but when I realized just how easy group finding was with the Bungie app, I’ve been complaining a bit less recently. I have long complained about a lack of in-game matchmaking for many activities in Destiny and Destiny 2, and past that, a lack of in-game group finding tools. But more importantly, it has the easiest to use group-finding tool for the game right now. It has its own inventory management tool you can use (I still like Ishtar better), it has game news and stat tracking. Most official game apps are relatively pointless, and that was true of the Bungie app a while ago where once upon a time the only this it was really useful for was reading Grimoire Cards.īut these days it has evolved in many ways.
